ESTHETICS CURRICULUM

At Debutantes you will learn all of the skills required to become a licensed
Esthetician. The following is a breakdown of our 750 hour curriculum:

Basic Training – 75 hours of classroom instruction in general theory and practical application. Completion of this training is required prior to practicing on the public

Scientific Concepts – 150 hours of classroom instruction

Practices and Procedures – 500 hours of instruction, a combination of classroom instruction and clinical application,

Business Practices – 25 hours of classroom instruction

Internship Program – May be substituted for 75 hours of the 750 hours

INSTRUCTOR EDUCATION

ESTHETICS INSTRUCTOR CURRICULUM

Debutantes School of Cosmetology and Nail Technology will prepare you to
become an Illinois Certified Esthetics Instructor. The 750 hour program is broken
down as follows:

250 hours of Post-Graduate School Training (Hours can be substituted with
two or more years of practical experience)

20 hours of Educational Psychology

20 hours of Teaching Methods (Theory)

150 hours of Application of Teaching Methods.

50 hours of Business Methods

260 hours of Student Teaching under the on-site supervision of an Illinois licensed teacher

The approved program for a 500 hour Teacher Training Course shall be based upon
2 years of practical experience

Our Nail Technology Program offers the shortest duration of all of our programs, with a path to completion in as little as three months.

This offering incorporates 350 hours of classroom instruction and hands-on experience required for a successful career. You will learn all of the following:

NAIL TECHNOLOGY CURRICULUM

Debutantes School of Cosmetology and Nail Technology will prepare you to become an Illinois Certified Nail Technician. The 350 hour program is broken down as follows:

Basic Training – 50 hours of classroom instruction in general theory practical application: Completion of this training is required prior to practicing on the public

Nail Technology Related concepts – 15 hours of classroom instruction

Practices and Procedures – 255 hours of a combination of classroom instruction
and clinical practical application

Business Practices – 30 hours of classroom instruction

Internship program – May be substituted for 35 hours of the 350 hours

NAIL TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR CURRICULUM

Debutantes School of Cosmetology and Nail Technology will prepare you to become an Illinois State Certified Nail Technology Instructor. The 625 clock hour program is broken down as follows;

125 hours of post-graduate school training (Hours can be
substituted with two or more years of practical experience)

20 hours of Educational Psychology

20 hours of Teaching Methods (Theory)

150 hours of Application of Teaching Methods

50 hours of Business Methods

260 hours of Student Teaching under the on-site supervision of an Illinois licensed teacher.

At Debutantes you will learn all of the skills required to become a licensed Cosmetologist .The following is a breakdown of the 1500 hour curriculum for our Cosmetology Program

Basic Training – 150 hours of classroom instruction in general theory and practical application. Completion of this training is required prior to practicing on the public

Practical Chemical Application/Hair Treatment – 500 hours of a combination of classroom instruction and hands on experience

Hair Styling/Hair Dressing – 475 hours of a combination of classroom instruction and hands on experience

Shop Management, Sanitation and Interpersonal Relations – 200 hours of classroom instruction

Esthetics – 85 hours of instruction

Nail Technology – 55 hours of instruction

Electives – 35 hours

Internship program – May be substituted for 150 hours of the 1500 hours

COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR CURRICULUM

Debutantes School of Cosmetology and Nail Technology will prepare you to become a licensed Illinois Certified Cosmetology Instructor.

The 1000 hour program is broken down as follows:

500 hours of Post-Graduate School Training that includes all subjects in the

basic cosmetology curriculum (Hours can be substituted with two or more years of practical experience)

20 hours of Educational Psychology

20 hours of Teaching Methods (Theory)

150 hours of Application of Teaching Methods

50 hours of Business Methods

260 hours of Student Teaching under the on-site supervision of an Illinois licensed teacher. The student teacher will be expected to present theoretical and practical demonstrations to students in the basic curriculum
